So, you’re considering Invisalign® for your teen but aren’t sure where to begin. We bet you have a lot of questions—but don’t stress; We’re here to answer them for you!
When it comes to choosing orthodontic treatment, there’s a lot to learn that you may not have even thought of. Check out the top five things you didn’t know about Invisalign for teens below!
1. There’s no ‘goo’ required. At some practices, and with traditional metal braces, it’s often necessary to take impression moulds. Most patients find these highly uncomfortable. Our practice utilises top of the line technology. With the Digital iTero Machine, we can scan your teeth for Invisalign effectively and without the ‘goo’.
2. Not all providers are created equal. When it comes to selecting an Invisalign provider for your child, it’s important to select a practice that has years of experience helping to craft beautiful smiles. Since 2015, we’ve held Platinum Elite Invisalign status. This means we’ve helped hundreds of patients just like your teen obtain the smile of their dreams.
3. The time frame for completion is different for each patient. Generally speaking, it can take between 12 – 18 months to obtain your teen’s desired results. At their initial consult, we’ll be able to better identify an accurate length of treatment.
4. You don’t have to pay for care upfront—consider a payment plan. We know life is expensive! But that shouldn’t stop you from getting your teen the care they need. We’re proud to accept payment plans through Zip Money for Invisalign treatment. BONUS—most options are interest free!
5. Aligners aren’t worn for 24 hours each day—but it’s close to that. Your teen should expect to wear his or her aligners for 22 hours each day. Aligners may be removed for eating and brushing, but should be placed back in immediately after.
