New Patients at Wardell Dental Clinic
If you have a moment in our reception area, you can look through a current magazine. Children have a toy box for their enjoyment.
How to Prepare
We advise our patients to bring their health fund card or Medicare card if the patient is a child. You should eat before your visit to ensure your blood sugar is stable. If you have a procedure with anaesthetic, it may require that you wait a couple of hours before you can eat again. It’s best to have a full stomach before you arrive.
Your First Visit
You’ll fill out a simple one-page form. Then, we’ll get started on the service you requested.
Some choose to have an examination and cleaning. Others prefer to have a simple consultation to discuss what they need to have done.
Your appointment time lasts for about 30 minutes, though it may be more if you come to us in pain or for emergency care.
Feel Comfortable
Feeling apprehensive about dental care is more common than you might think.
We can schedule you with our anaesthetist to have procedures completed under IV sedation. Many people feel comfortable just having a discussion with the dentist on their first appointment and return for treatment at a later date. We’ll spend all the time needed with you to make you feel prepared to start your procedure.
Payment Options
We accept all health funds, and you can claim your rebate on the spot with HICAPS. We accept vouchers from Sydney Dental Hospital and other dental hospitals. Children can use the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. We also take Department of Veterans’ Affairs coverage.
If you do not have dental cover, we work with National Dental plan, zipMoney or offer in-house payment plans.
